Discount Codes from SolidWorks World 2012

Many of the vendors in the Partner Pavillion at SolidWorks World decided against giving out freebies and swag, and instead opted to distribute coupon codes for their products to the attendees.  And since you’re all attendees at heart, I’d like to share the few of the best that I found. (If you know of more, add them in the comments.)

Interview with Rick Chin – SolidWorks Director of Product Innovation

Although I didn’t get a chance to sit down with Rick Chin during SolidWorks World 2012 in San Diego, the Director of Product innovation was kind enough to respond to my questions after the conference.  Rick has a mechanical engineering background, and worked at McDonnell Douglas, Pratt & Whitney, and PTC, before becoming one of the founding members of SolidWorks in 1995. Rick was part of Jon Hirschtick’s small, hand-picked team, and was the 17th employee ever to join the company.
Some of Rick’s more recognizable contributions to SolidWorks include eDrawings, FilletXpert and DraftXpert, along with many others, out of which he has successfully created five patents.
